About me
I earned my degree in Psychology from Palacký University in Olomouc and am currently participating in accredited psychotherapeutic training in Gestalt therapy. I have also completed a comprehensive crisis intervention course (Déčko Liberec) and a Psychologist in Health Care course. I believe that continuous education is of paramount importance in providing quality mental health care, which is why I actively pursue skill development beyond my Master's degree.
In addition to my private practice, I also work as a school psychologist, counseling children, parents, and teachers. What I value about this work is the opportunity to be part of my clients' natural environment, not just a remote expert. Additionally, I am involved in the development of digital products focused on adolescent mental health. My past projects include Chatbot Numi, designed to help young people discover suitable forms of support. Presently, I am part of a team developing a serious game focused on mental health. My professional experience also includes two years at the National Institute for Autism.
During my time at the university, I spent a year in a Tanzanian village where I contributed to the development of a local school, which turned out to be a significant experience. Prior to this, I had already worked with people from various cultural backgrounds. In the USA, I assisted refugees from Somalia, and in my home country, I provided support to Iraqis. The topic of adaptation to life in a different culture holds great significance for me.
The core principles of my therapeutic approach are acceptance, authentic contact, emphasis on the present moment, promotion of awareness, and a holistic view of the person.
